The SAT Changes: Explained

By now, you may have heard that The College Board is changing The SAT! Students set to take the exam in the spring of 2016 will be seeing a very different type of test than the one that currently exists.
According to The College Board website, the new test will reflect “eight key changes” including but not limited to less obscure vocabulary words, more evidence-based reading and writing tasks, more source analysis, and adding math problems grounded in real life examples. Plus, students will no longer be penalized for guessing incorrectly on the exam. You can read a full description of the planned changes here: https://www.collegeboard.org/delivering-opportunity/sat/redesign
On April 16th 2014, The College Board will release even more information about the new SAT as well as sample problems
